Satellite Image of the Week 2023 #13

This week, I chose a true color image over Texas. This image is from Sunday, I am late posting this week.

In this image, you can see several strong thunderstorms firing along a boundary that runs near the TX/LA border. They grew rapidly as a gravity wave passed through (visible only on the loop). Notice the good venting on these storms, with anvil material getting blown east, covering most of the state of Louisiana.

Thank you for reading my post.
