I am running way behind on my posting, work and everything else that needs to be done.
This day was simply a light travel and tourism day. We started the day in Midland, TX, and decided to skip out on the Marginal Threat for severe weather near White Sands Missile Range, which is virtually inaccessible. Instead, we drove north to Amarillo to show Harry what Texas is really about.
We made a quick visit to Palo Duro Canyon. It was just a quick stop as rain was likely on the way, and the overlook is one of the best parts of the experience:
Sometimes, storm chasing is about the friends you make along the way, like this guy:
After our visit to the park, we stopped at the Big Texan for dinner.
After dinner, we continued north to Dumas, TX, for the night.
