Satellite Image of the Week 2022 #21

This week, I chose an image over New Mexico earlier this week.

In this true color image, you can see several large plumes of smoke that are covering the skies over central New Mexico. The southernmost one is southwest of Magdalena, and there are several smaller fires burning through the state. The state’s largest fire is out of this frame.
