This week’s image was taken earlier this week over the southern Great Plains
This week’s image is of the severe weather that was firing over the southern Great Plains. The SPC had issued a Moderate Risk for this area.
Storms mostly formed a long squall line, but a few cells popped to the southwest of the line. This was my target area for chasing, had I actually chased these storms. As it turns out, there were very few tornado reports, though lots of strong wind reports, as is expected with a springtime squall line.
