Satellite Image of the Week 2019 #12

This week’s Satellite Image of the Week shows yet another mid-latitude cyclone over the Great Plains.

This storm will bring more unneeded rain to the northern Great Plains, compounding their historic flooding problems.

I like capturing images of the mid-latitude cyclones. Even in these still images, you can see the center of circulation, the large, sweeping cold front to the south, and all the important features and “weather-makers” of these systems.
