Satellite Image of the Week 2019 #3

This week’s Satellite Image of the Week shows the winter storm that is currently headed towards the east coast.  This winter has been relentless so far.  We’ve had several winter storms here in New Mexico, and the east coast keeps getting slammed as well.

Notice the intense embedded convection in this system. A few snow squalls developed in this winter storm. Just in case you thought convection didn’t happen in the winter.

Thank you for reading this post!
