Satellite Image of the Week #45

I was on the road last week and missed posting.  However, this week, we have some neat mountain-wave pattern clouds over the basin-range area of Nevada and Utah.  Notice  hot these clouds form perpendicular to the wind direction (and parallel to the mountain ridges), making them a mountain-wave pattern instead of cloud streets.  Even though they may look the same, one has more to do with wind conditions and the other has to do with the source of moisture
