This week’s video is another one of my storm chase videos. I recorded this video back in 2010, on my son’s first successful storm chase. The video has no sound, as I edited it out years ago. My turn signal relay stopped working, so it constantly made a clicking noise (as though the turn signal was on), and the camera was mounted just above this relay. The sound of the turn signal drowned out all other sounds, so I edited it out. I did have this set to music, but due to copyright issues, I removed the music.
This day looked like a bust. Instead, we saw one single cell fire to our south near dusk, so we drove after it. It produced two tornadoes, both of which went through a fallow field just west of our location. These tornadoes were actually in rural Colorado, and the roads we followed in southwestern Kansas did not cross over there, so we watched it from afar.
Thank you for reading my post.
