Satellite Image of the Week #18

This week’s satellite image is a view of the sky over West Virginia.  We have some storms starting to fire in this cumulus field.  They started out as cumulus clouds arranged in cloud streets, but they are building vertically at this time.

Near the West Virginia and Virginia border, there are some mountain-wave pattern clouds ahead of the stronger convection.
