Skywarn Recognition Day 2015

Today, there was an amateur radio special event called, “Skywarn Recognition Day.” I participate in it each year. The idea is that you try to talk to as many National Weather Service offices as possible, as most of them are equipped with amateur radio equipment.

This year, I worked 11 stations spread out over the Great Plains.
Lincoln, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Kansas City, MO; and a few other stations. I also worked the National Hurricane Center in Miami, FL.

It is always nice to hear the other Skywarn spotters and the National Weather Service stations on the air.

Thank you for reading my post.
