The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued a Slight Risk for a good part of the southern Great Plains.
There is a 5% Tornado Threat Ring associated with the Slight Risk.
The 12Z soundings aren’t great at all. Amarillo, Albuquerque, and Dodge City all show CAPE below 1000 J/kg.
This has a similar setup to the last few days, so I am planning on chasing today.
I’ll post what I see later- I need to leave now.
I hope you enjoyed my post!
The Storm Prediction Center forecast and soundings are from the SPC.noaa.gov. The satellite imagery is from NASA.gov and the upper air charts are from Unisys – Weather. The radar imagery is from the National Weather Service.
