I have added a page for my 2007 Storm Chase.
I say this about every storm chase, but the 2007 chase was surreal. Or at least strange. I chased the first day with my family, but then alone for three days in May. It was the shortest amount of time I’ve ever spent storm chasing, but I did manage to get a tornado.
It marked the first time I had personally developed a forecast, navigated around the storm, and caught a tornado completely alone. I did run into my friend, Bobby, on the chase- we both ended up in the same place.
For the May chase, I had just returned from China. I knew that I was not chasing with Virginia Tech this year- and Virginia Tech had just experienced the mass shooting. Morale was low there as well.
In spite of all of that, I forecasted and found a tornado. I had a great time chasing, and a great time county hunting on amateur radio as well.
