Skywarn Recognition Day 2012.

I had a very mediocre effort in the Skywarn Recognition Day. In the 10 minutes I played around on Echolink, I worked two NWS offices: Lincoln, IL and Goodland, KS. In years past, I have put in a much more comprehensive effort, operating on HF, VHF and Echolink. This year, I just played on Echolink. I think I’ve worked the Lincoln office every year, however.

I reported my weather as “sunny.” I really need to get a weather station up and running at my house. I have one with a broken anemometer, and another with no direction vane. I will try to put them together at some point, I suppose.

Better luck next year (less work/travel during contest time!)
