Here is the radar loop from 5-30-12. Notice the big dead spot in NW OK. That’s where we were. We had debated going to Childress, TX, but didn’t in favor of what we perceived to be the higher tornado threat in NW OK. Instead, we got to the KS/OK line, looked at the mess to the north, and the developing cell in the OK panhandle. We watched that cell sputter and die, as you see here in the radar loop.
