The SPC has issued a slight risk/5% tornado ring for parts of NE/IA/MN today.
I will be Plains-bound for chasing over the next few days, so I will only get as far as eastern CO today.
I am new at reading and predicting weather using CINH values. My understanding is that today will bust, according to the soundings in the area. It looks like -147 J/kg was the best looking forecasted CINH, and I think that means that the cap is too strong. All of the others were much higher throughout the plains.
