So far, there were 48 tornadoes reported yesterday, none near my target areas. However, there was a ton of hail near my target areas, so I would have at least seen storms.
One of these tornadoes hit Joplin, MO head on. Joplin has always been a friendly resting grounds for me in past travels. Some sources are saying 75% of the town is gone, 89 confirmed dead so far, and the hospital took a direct hit. The kind folks of Joplin will be in my thoughts today as I chase.
